Terms of use
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These terms govern the use of Tapfeed. They apply to establishments that subscribe (restaurants, bars, cafés) and, in the section that concerns them, to clients who order with a QR code. By creating an account, the establishment accepts them.
1. The service
Tapfeed lets an establishment publish its menu, receive QR code orders on a service screen, manage its tables, team and statistics, and, if it wishes, collect client payments online through Stripe.
Tapfeed is an ordering tool. It does not replace the establishment’s cash register or official billing (including the sales recording module required in Quebec).
In Quebec, the document given to the client after an online payment is a payment receipt, not the official bill. An establishment that turns on online payment confirms that it gives every client the bill produced by its certified cash register (MEV-WEB), or that it is exempt from mandatory billing; it remains solely responsible for this obligation towards Revenu Québec.
2. Account and access
The establishment provides accurate information and keeps it up to date. It keeps its passwords and those of its station accounts confidential, and is responsible for what is done with its accounts. It notifies us without delay if it suspects unauthorized use.
The person creating the account declares they are of legal age and authorized to bind the establishment.
3. Free trial
The trial lasts 14 days, with no credit card. At the end of the trial, if no plan is chosen, clients can no longer order; the establishment’s data is kept and service resumes as soon as it subscribes.
4. Plans, prices and payment
Plans and prices are shown on tapfeed.com and in the Plan page. Prices are before tax, in Canadian dollars in Canada and US dollars in the United States; applicable taxes are added.
The subscription is paid in advance, monthly or yearly, by card, and renews automatically at the end of each period. Tapfeed takes no commission on the establishment’s sales.
The establishment can cancel at any time from its Plan page: cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, with no refund for the current period, unless the law provides otherwise.
We may change our prices with at least 30 days’ notice to the establishment; the new price applies from the next period. If payment fails, access to ordering may be suspended until it is settled.
5. Client payments
Client payments are processed by Stripe and paid directly into the establishment’s Stripe account, under Stripe’s terms, which the establishment accepts when connecting its account. Stripe card fees are paid by the establishment.
The establishment is the seller to its clients: it is responsible for refunds, payment disputes (chargebacks), tips paid to its team and taxes collected.
6. Establishment responsibilities
- the accuracy of its menu, prices, descriptions and allergen information;
- compliance with the laws that apply to its business: food safety, alcohol sales under its permit, price display, taxes and official billing;
- informing its clients and team about the use of Tapfeed, and how it uses information received through orders;
- the content it publishes (text, photos, logo): it guarantees it holds the rights to it.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Tapfeed illegally or fraudulently, try to access another establishment’s data, disrupt the service, or copy or resell it without our consent.
8. Service availability
We make every effort to keep Tapfeed available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service (maintenance, outages at our providers or on the Internet). We announce planned maintenance in advance when possible. The establishment keeps another way to take orders in case of an outage.
9. Ownership and data
Tapfeed, its software, name and logo belong to us. The establishment keeps ownership of its content and data; it authorizes us to use them only to provide the service.
The handling of personal information is described in our privacy policy. The establishment can export its statistics and ask us for a copy of its data at support@tapfeed.com.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tapfeed is not liable for indirect damages (loss of revenue, customers or data) related to the use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amounts paid by the establishment in the 12 months before the event. These limits do not apply in case of gross or intentional fault.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, fraud or non-payment, after notice when possible. On closure, the establishment can request a copy of its data for 90 days; it is then deleted, except what the law requires us to keep.
12. Establishment clients
Ordering with Tapfeed is free and requires no account. Your order is placed with the establishment, which is your seller: for any question about a dish, a price, a refund or an allergen, please ask the establishment. Online payments are processed by Stripe.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Establishments are notified at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect; continuing to use the service after that date means acceptance. An establishment that disagrees can cancel at no cost.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute falls under the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, subject to mandatory rules protecting the establishment or client in their province or state.
